England V Bulgaria Preview

England kick-off their European Championship campaign tonight against 43rd ranked in the world Bulgaria.

England v Bulgaria was the first ever England game i witnessed ending in a 0-0 draw, but now 12 years later and many more England games under my belt its back to wembley for me to welcome our old friends - hopefully ending in a game with some goals this time !

People still haven't forgiven the Three Lions for their antics in the world cup, but did people really expect us to win it with a squad full of individual players, massive egos and a foreign manager ?
I don't want to slate England because all of that disappointment is in the past, and plus i don't want to be like the annoyingly repetitive columnist Steven Howard - yes Steven we get it, you don't like Capello and you thrive on the opportunity of slagging off England with every chance you get !
Anyway, 70,000 fans are expected to see England start their bid for European success, me being one of the spectators, and to see a squad that hasn't been altered from South Africa-all the flops are included with a few exceptions, like Theo Walcott.
Capelllo obviously knows what he is doing, even though he has gone back on the idea of a new generation of England, otherwise it would have been a case of him quitting as soon as the World Cup came to an end. He wants to prove that his success in friendly match's and qualifying games can be put into a major tournament and this will no doubt be his last chance of doing so.
So it is a new tournament and a fresh start tonight for England as they aim to get there so called "loyal" supporters back and make sure they get behind them.
Good luck lads !

Score prediction for tonight is 2-0 England:

- Without Berbatov Bulgaria will lack scoring ability
- Rooney should grab a goal after breaking his duck last weekend
- Gerrard will also make his mark on the game
