The time has come for England to wave bye to another sporting hero; Andrew Flintoff.
It was released today that with much "disappointment and sadness" Freddie had to bring his cricketing career to an end after long talks with medical advisers.
Flintoff vowed to be the best one-day player ever after retiring from test cricket in 2009, but his on-going knee problems denied him that achievement.
He became an English icon after his finest moments in the 2005 Ashes test as he guided England to an emphatic victory.
He has been sorely missed in the world of cricket for over a year now but the all-rounder has had no choice but to call his career to an end; we all take our hats off to you Freddie, thank you.
However, On the upside, he can now fulfill his dream of owning a pub by the beach with easy access to all the pedalos he can imagine.
